Happy New Moon my dears!🌕
Welcome to the season of Aries and the Astrological new year, the very first mark of a new cycle. New moons are invariably a time for new beginnings, much like when you flip the page and face a new one. This one, however, is the start of a whole new book. So what story do you wanna write this year?
The archetype of Aries brings vigorous updraft, sparking the fire of new beginnings and the start of our journey through the zodiac wheel.
Its spirit is often referred to as ‘the youthful warrior’. Aries stimulates us to leap, to renew, and to show up fiercely. Such blazing energy can bring many blessings yet it calls for alignment. In the Tarot, there is a card that is called "temperance" which speaks of moderation, focus, and teaches us to blend the opposing elements of fire and water. You are the alchemist of your own life. With this Tarot card in mind, I invite you to think of yourself as the creator who blends elements and from them, creates new life. Your life. With every breath, you make the current moment magic.
Even though fire-energy desires to move and flicker, the new moon is a time to close your eyes and be still and utterly witness the movement within. In our colorful world, our sensory organs are constantly penetrated with an overload of stimuli. Give this constant thrive some rest. Within stillness, notice your hidden presence, befriend it. Listen to the throbbings of all those times you betrayed your inner voice. Care for it. Become aware of, and kiss your wounds and listen. What learnings are complete, and what needs more integration?
Our night sky is dipped in darkness, due to the sun and moon aligning in the same astrological sign. This auspicious time reflects the environment of your unconscious. This is the place where magic is born.
And yet, at the given time, there are little fires, everywhere. If you let your gaze wander along today's new-moon-darkness, in meditation, yoga, or ritual something, will spark. Then gaze into the flames just long enough to see a reflection of your inner longings.
My proposal for this energetic time is borrowed and stems from Rob Brezney's interpretation of what it means to "stand-alone and burn".
He refers to ‘strong-willed’ people being devoted to cultivating the most passionate version of themselves, always in alignment with their deepest longings.
May you find tranquillity to seed such devotion within the chambers of your own heart.
May you lovingly stoke a spark to bring forth something new and revolutionary for your journey.
May you harness moderation to direct the flame without causing a wildfire.
I’m sending you all a big hug, hopefully sparking some love and connection,
Sara
