On September 29, we will have our annual Full Moon in Aries. Aries, a Cardinal Fire sign, is symbolized by the ram, representing the first days of spring—a fresh start. Full moons are a time of completion and illumination. Here, we reflect on where our new action in the spring has brought us now that it's autumn. The Sun is in Libra, measured and intellectual, where ego must be shared, compromises reached, and deals struck. Opposite, the Moon reflects the light from Aries, which finds comfort in being spontaneous, being first, and doing 'me.' This axis represents the 'me-we' polarity.

What's the sky saying this Aries full moon of 2023? This full moon reminds us that in our gut, we know what has grown vs what to walk away from in our joint activities. Balance requires a decision and action, but not too hastily. This is a test during this lunation because... we are exactly going to want to experience a sudden breakthrough. Yet we must tap into our recent practice of emotional boundaries and our analytical mind to think it through, count it out, and act with measured kindness.

Most of the sky, except for the analytical mind, in one way or another reports back to Venus, even the lunation itself. That means, as she's almost out of her shadow and she is squaring Uranus exactly, what we've learned over her summer retrograde is front and center. She's retrograded through Leo, asking us to re-evaluate what we used to love and value, as motivated by our inner child, wanting the applause, and attracted by shiny toys. How has that love come back to us?

We’re all big now, so our desires needed an upgrade. Now we are keen to throw off the training wheels, and here comes clarity, illumination; we know it all! Don’t we? We actually don’t, as we’re human and evolving. So yes, we see where we want to upgrade or come out of an agreement or a way of relating or a relationship. We see things differently, so we want to move, to respond.

The sky is advising us to hit the brakes a little and slow our speed. Not forget it, just slow down. It’s tempting to be impulsive and vomit it all out. If we choose our words carefully, maybe even rehearse, and wait for the right moment, then we can smile and know we’ve done good. That way, we’re also setting ourselves up nicely for the next lunation, which is a solar eclipse, right on the spot where our action flows from this lunation. So it’s important to be conscious and self-aware about the how and why.

Throw off those chains, but smartly, Radiantly Alive!

Sabian Symbol Aries 7: A man successfully expressing himself in two realms at once.

Yoga pose: Warrior III, if that is ok with your body, I also really like a head/scalp massage for this lunation, especially as Aries rules the head.

The person who is angry at the right things and toward the right people and also in the right way at the right time and for the right length of time is morally praiseworthy. “ - Aristotle
