Pranayama (the art of breath control) and Meditation (the practice of inner focus and reflection) synergize seamlessly with asanas (physical postures) to deepen the mind-body connection. This integration fosters profound relaxation, stress reduction, and enhanced concentration, while also facilitating self-awareness and spiritual growth.
Students will learn how to teach various pranayama techniques from the famed Bihar School of Yoga, as well as Chakra Meditation as taught by Yin Yoga founder Paul Grilley. Under the instruction of Jo Phee, who graduated directly from the Bihar lineage, students will leave the training equipped with many creative ways to interweave pranayama and meditation within the Yin practice.
Upon completion of 100% attendance in classes, homework assignments, and viewing of all recordings, students will be awarded the Yinspiration 60-hour certification. This certification can be applied towards their registration with Yoga Alliance for YACEP Continuing Education, or used to clock hours towards their Yinspiration 300-hour Yoga Alliance certification.
As the first yoga school in the world to create a 300-hour Yin Yoga certification program, this comprehensive training is designed in accordance with the requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance USA. Upon graduation, students may apply directly with Yoga Alliance USA for “YACEP” status or accumulate these hours towards Yinspiration’s 300-hour certification with Yoga Alliance.
*This training requires 3–4 hours of sitting each day. Students who are unwilling to commit to these inner practices should not apply for this training.
